I created JIM LUIGS DESIGNS in 2002 to serve the needs of clients. That remains my single, overarching goal. Every day I work with a trusted group of extraordinarily-skilled artisans, who share my desire to create beautiful and functional environments for individuals, families, and organizations. My team and I are always eager to meet with potential clients, to visit their homes and workplaces, and to listen to their ideas for transforming their spaces.

In addition to my work as an Interior Designer, I continue to work in the theater as a playwright, lyricist, and director. I also frequently create special material for well-established cabaret and concert performers.

In 2011, I joined the faculty of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts as an adjunct professor in the post-graduate Department of Design for Stage and Film.

"I'm always on the lookout for something I haven't done before. I love a blank page. More than anything I want a client with a spirit of adventure, who understands the creative process well enough to permit a failure or two. Because playing it safe is, finally, uninteresting."
